We invite you to submit a Student Lottery Application Form to enroll your child in the 2024-2025 School Year. All forms must be received from November 1st, 2023 - January 12th, 2024, by 4:00 PM, in order for your child to be entered into the lottery. The form may be submitted either online, in person, or via the US Postal Service with the above-mentioned stamped date. For all of the above options, parents/guardians should keep the receipt or a copy of the confirmation email until the lottery day.

LOTTERY PROCEDURES

All grades’ new students:

Parents/guardians may complete a Numbered Lottery Application during the above-mentioned enrollment window


Incoming TK to 5th Grade Students

If on January 12, 2024, more than 75 letters of intent are received in any grade level, an enrollment lottery will be held on January 16, 2024, in the office of Vista Condor Global Academy. This process will randomly select 75 students to be enrolled in each grade level. Students not selected for the first 75 seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.


Incoming 6th-Grade Students:

If on January 12, 2024, less than 150 letters of intent are received, parents/guardians will be notified of their child’s acceptance and invited to fill out an enrollment packet. 

If on January 12, 2024, more than 150 letters of Intent are received, an enrollment lottery will be held on January 16, 2024, in the Main Office Lobby of the school. This process will randomly select 150 students to be enrolled. Students not selected for the first 150 seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.


Incoming 7th and 8th Grade Students:

If on January 12, 2024, the combined number of previously enrolled students and new lottery forms are less than 150, parents/guardians of new students will be notified of their child’s acceptance and invited to fill out an enrollment packet. 

If on January 12, 2024, the combined number of previously enrolled students and letters of intent are more than 150 at each grade level, an enrollment lottery for incoming students will be held on January 16, 2024, at the Main Office Lobby of the school. This process will randomly select students to be enrolled to fill the remaining open seats after previously enrolled students are confirmed. Students not selected for the remaining seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.


Incoming 9th to 12th Grade Students:

If on January 12, 2024, the combined number of previously enrolled students and new lottery forms are less than 125, parents/guardians of new students will be notified of their child’s acceptance and invited to fill out an enrollment packet. 

If on January 12, 2024, the combined number of previously enrolled students and letters of intent (Lottery) are more than 125 at each grade level, an enrollment lottery for incoming students will be held on January 16, 2024, at the Main Office Lobby of the school. This process will randomly select students to be enrolled to fill the remaining open seats after previously enrolled students are confirmed. Students not selected for the remaining seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.

LOTTERY PROVISIONS

Students who are currently enrolled are exempted from the lottery.

Vista Heritage Global Academy will give admissions preference in the following order:

  • Students who reside in the Santa Ana Unified School District
  • Siblings of students enrolled

Vista Condor Global Academy Admissions preference shall first be extended to pupils currently attending the charter school and pupils who reside in the Santa Ana Unified School District except as provided for in Education Code section 47614.5. 

Other preferences may be permitted by the chartering authority on an individual school basis and only if consistent with the law. As such, VCGA proposes to extend an additional admissions preference to siblings of already enrolled students, which preference shall only be extended after the first two preferences noted above are extended.


Students not selected for the remaining seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.
