Dear Parents,

I am sure you have heard or read about the recent upheaval at Youth Policy Institute (YPI), the organization that has been providing some of the afterschool programs at Vista schools. I want to assure you that when we were informed that YPI was in financial trouble earlier this month, and as of Friday, October 25th, that the organization had closed its doors completely, our first concern was how to ensure our students would continue to be served in the YPI programs that our families have come to love and depend on. To that end, we are partnering with an experienced non-profit agency to manage the programs at each of our sites for the remainder of the year. The non-profit is called Think Together. Think Together is one of the largest after school organizations in California and has effectively served students for many years.

With this new partnership, existing YPI programs have remained open without any issues under the organization Think Together.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact your school’s principal who will provide more specific information and details.

Thank you for your patience and support as we begin this new partnership.

Sincerely,

Don Wilson
