Parents/guardians may complete a numbered lottery application during the above-mentioned enrollment window.

Incoming TK Students:

If on January 12, 2024, less than 40 letters of intent are received, parents/guardians will be notified of their child’s acceptance and invited to fill out an enrollment packet.

If on January 12, 2024, more than 40 letters of Intent are received, an enrollment lottery will be held on January 16, 2024, in the Main Office Lobby of the school. This process will randomly select 40 students to be enrolled. Students not selected for the first 40 seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.

Incoming K-6th Grade Students:

If on January 12, 2024, the combined number of previously enrolled students and new lottery forms are less than 66, parents/guardians of new students will be notified of their child’s acceptance and invited to fill out an enrollment packet.

If on January 12, 2024, the combined number of previously enrolled students and letters of intent are more than 66 at each grade level, an enrollment lottery for incoming students will be held on January 16, 2024, at the Main Office Lobby of the school. This process will randomly select students to be enrolled to fill the remaining open seats after previously enrolled students are confirmed. Students not selected for the remaining seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.

LOTTERY PROVISIONS

Students who are currently enrolled are exempted from the lottery.

Palm Lane Global Academy will give admissions preference for the following cases:

  • Students who reside in Anaheim Elementary School District
  • Siblings of students enrolled
  • Preference shall first be extended to pupils currently attending the charter school and pupils who reside in the Anaheim Elementary School District except as provided for in Education Code section 47614.5.
  • Other preferences may be permitted by the chartering authority on an individual school basis and only if consistent with the law. As such, PLGA proposes to extend an additional admissions preference to siblings of already enrolled students, which preference shall only be extended after the first two preferences noted above are extended.

Students not selected for the remaining seats will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted for enrollment if and when any seats become available.
